Start the Year with These 2 Questions and Answers – From Genesis 1

How we start the year really matters, and this is why I really have to share certain things with you guys. First off, I want to recommend Tirzah’s post to you, because it really is a timely insight, and it is amazing how different people can receive different light from the same scripture.

So I’m sharing with you what I got from Genesis chapter 1 – the beginning – where it all began. Isn’t that a good start? Well I also advise you start a daily bible challenge; one chapter of the scripture isn’t too small. Read it, study it, vocalize it, digest it, visualize; anything you can do with it. Just make sure this year, you are intentional about hearing from God, sitting with the word, growing from inside out. Having said all of these, let’s get to the main thing I want to share.

The land produced vegetation: plant bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:12

First question that came to mind was:

1. What kind am I?

If we must achieve anything tangible, we must know what we are made of. We must know our source. We must know our root. This is where our identity lies. This is how we set out without having a mixed identity. This is how we stand secured, not moved by what we see, hear and feel, but reminding ourselves of who we are and whose we are. We must know our uniqueness and it is with this mindset that we must operate. The answer to this question is the guide to knowing the kind of fruit we must bear.

I am God’s kind.

  • Meaning that I am an authority. I don’t run into my shell when I’m suppose to rise up as a voice. When I declare things they come into existence. So, we have to be careful with our words. We say it works and it does. We say we take over that business and we do. No room for doubt.
  • I am creative. I don’t lazy around waiting for God to tell me do this or that when He has given me a brain to think. I don’t shy away from inventions, ideas, innovations – I am a creative person just as God is. This is not to say that I am thinking for God, instead, taking responsibility for the ideas He has given to me. He won’t come down from heaven to do certain things for me. I must be creative. He gave you a business idea…….but the proposal won’t write itself. Do you get my point?
  • I rule over all the good things He has created. Meaning that even the hardest situation respond as good to me. I rule over money. Everything produces good things for me. There’s absolutely nothing God created that isn’t good. So, the seemingly difficult business works together for my good. And if I call it good, good it is.

2. Is God interested in my growth or in numerical growth?

God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it.’

Genesis 1:28

Yes, He is.

He expects that I grow. Expansion is not covetousness. That means wanting more of God is greediness if stretching for more is. He doesn’t want us to become complacent, too comfortable with that little achievement. There is always more. Everything God created has a unique ability of reproducing itself. This means God is interested in SUSTAINABILITY. There is always room for development.

Then God said, ‘I give you every seed bearing plant on the face of the earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

Genesis 1:29

See I don’t know about you, but as for me, no matter how the world, our country and environment seem hard, it is given for my excelling, for my prospering. I will have in plenty in this same land. I will make plenty money. Lol. He has given it to me. All these things yield to me.

Can I be frank with you? Things respond to us based on our mindset about them. It might not look like it yet, just remain diligent. You’ll see.

Another amazing thing guys, while I was studying this scripture, the perspective I got through the help of the Holy Spirit was different. As I started writing this post, it started getting broader and even touching other areas. This means that the more we study, the more we get virtues out of God’s word. I can’t really share exactly, or all of the things I received from my quiet time. Some of these things are an overflow of the study.

These moments in picture reminds me of my source.

TAKE OUT:

Don’t live on what other people teach you alone. Or what your Pastor preaches every Sunday. Go back to the word and dig deep. You can hear too. Your Pastor isn’t an angel that fell from the sky. He diligently sought after God’s word too.

Alright, this post is long already. Let me end here.

I love you guys so much and like my father in the lord told me – I’m watching out for your greatness.

Have a great 2020!

Love & Light💕💕💕
